Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address and a securely hashed password when you register, either as a customer or as a business owner.

Listing information: the business details a business owner submits for publication, including business name, service category, city and state, phone number, description, photos and logo.

Reviews and messages: the reviews customers write and the messages sent to us through our contact channels. Usage information: pages visited and interactions with the directory, collected through analytics tools.

2. How we use it

We use this information to operate the directory, verify and publish listings, display reviews, let customers and businesses contact each other directly, answer questions, keep accounts secure and improve the service. We do not use personal information for any other purpose without notice.

3. Cookies and analytics

HutHuv uses essential cookies needed for sign in and security, and analytics cookies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the directory in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the directory will still work, although sign in features need essential cookies.

4. Sharing and sale of data

We never sell personal information. Listing information that a business submits for publication is shown publicly on the directory, because that is the purpose of a listing. We share information only with the service providers that run the platform, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of HutHuv.

5. Retention and security

We keep account and listing information while the account or listing is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, security and audit purposes. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, and passwords are always stored hashed, never in plain text.

6. Your rights and choices

You may request access to your personal information, a correction, or the deletion of your account and personal information, by writing to info@huthuv.com. We will answer verified requests within a reasonable time. Some information may be kept where the law or a legitimate security or audit need requires it.

7. Children, changes and contact

HutHuv is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. We may update this policy from time to time; the version published on this page applies from its publication date.
